We're doing it again! Movies in the Park is Sept. 21!

The Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission invites you to come to Eureka’s Sequoia Park for the monthly Movies in the Park free outdoor movie screening. The feature presentation for September is Walt Disney's The Gnome-Mobile. The event starts at 7:00 p.m. with a DJ and the feature film starting at dusk, around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 21 at 3550 W Street in Eureka.
Based on a 1936 book by Upton Sinclair and filmed in Humboldt County, The Gnome-Mobile is one of the last films produced by Walt Disney himself. The film features an eccentric millionaire and his grandchildren, who become embroiled in the plights of some forest gnomes who are searching for the rest of their tribe. While helping them, the millionaire is suspected of being crazy because he's seeing gnomes! He's committed, and the niece and nephew and the gnomes have to find him and free him.
The public is encouraged dress warmly and arrive starting at 7:00 p.m. to enjoy music provided by Deep Groove Society DJs and find a place on the lawn for blankets and lawn chairs. Popcorn and refreshments will be available by small donation.
There will be an information table set up on site with Film Commission volunteers collecting donations and answering questions about the organization’s mission and services.
The Film Commission would like to thank its community sponsors Northcoast Audio, Deep Groove Society, Living the Dream Ice Cream, Pierson Building Center, A and I Roofing, Red Lion Hotel, Redwood Capital Bank, Humboldt Wholesale, Northcoast Co-op and Old Town Chocolates and Coffee.
